The Titans defeated the Packers 27-17 on Thursday night.

The Titans defeated the Packers 27-17 on Thursday night as Ryan Tannehill outperformed Aaron Rodgers by throwing for 333 yards and two touchdowns while Green Bay concentrated on trying to slow down Derrick Henry.

The Titans (7-3) are currently leading the AFC South after losing their opening two games. The Titans continued their upward trend by scoring and gaining yards at season highs (408).

Tannehill, who completed 22 of 27 passes with one interception, said, “We want to be a balanced assault. Tannehill looked much sharper in his second game back after missing two games with an injured right ankle. His performance helped the Titans improve to 10-2 when playing on short rest under coach Mike Vrabel.

Coach Matt LaFleur of the Packers stated he was “very unhappy right now to put on a performance like that.” “I have no idea what to say. It wasn’t like a few days ago, which is why you have to perform every time you step onto the field because you are only as good as your last game.

Rodgers completed 24 of 39 passes for 227 yards and two touchdowns, including a 14-yarder to end the first quarter and an 8-yarder in the third quarter to rookie Christian Watson. The previous day, Watson had three touchdowns in a 31-28 overtime triumph over the Dallas Cowboys.

Since Max McGee in 1954, Watson is the only rookie for the Packers to record two touchdown catches in back-to-back contests.

The Packers were only able to get 87 yards and a touchdown from Henry on 28 attempts (a 3.1-yard average), but the Titans still managed to execute their offensive strategy.

Henry joined in on the fun by scoring a score with a 3-yard leap pass to Austin Hooper. With seven catches for 111 yards, rookie first-round pick Treylon Burks of the Titans enjoyed the best game of his young career.

Hooper, who scored his first two touchdowns of the season, remarked, “Now it’s on video. “Others must show respect for it. I’m glad we were able to execute and secure a team victory, but especially glad we managed to pull it off a little bit in the air to demonstrate to the rest of the league that we can do this.

At the end of the first quarter, Tennessee led 7-6. In the second, Tennessee dominated, running 27 plays to the Packers’ 6, outgaining Green Bay by 91 yards to 17.

Quay Walker stopped Henry for a 2-yard loss on fourth-and-1 from the 4, ending Tennessee’s nearly 10-minute possession early in the quarter without any points. The Titans’ 18-play drive, their longest without a goal since at least 2000, saw Tennessee control the ball.

But with 32 seconds left in the half, Henry’s 4-yard touchdown run gave the Titans the ball back on the Green Bay 41 and increased their advantage to 14-6. The Titans scored three touchdowns in a row after that first one.

Henry scored a rushing touchdown for the 10th time this season, reaching that milestone for the fifth consecutive year. LaDainian Tomlinson, Adrian Peterson, Shaun Alexander, and Michael Turner are the only players to have at least 10 touchdown runs in five consecutive seasons.

Late in the third quarter, Watson’s second touchdown of the game helped Green Bay cut Tennessee’s lead to 20-17, but the offense accomplished nothing more for the remainder of the contest. Green Bay has, at best, a slim chance of making the playoffs again.

We must perform to the best of our abilities, according to Rodgers. “We have a chance to win our final six games if we perform to our maximum. I have faith in that. Obviously, I need to perform to the best of my ability. It wasn’t tonight.
