A number of new features have been added to Instagram for Android users. The parent company of Instagram, Meta, announced the addition of Notes, Candid Stories, and Group Profiles in a public blog post, providing users with more options to engage with their friends and family in a variety of ways.
Instagram Notes
A new way to express yourself on Instagram is through the “Notes” feature. Instagram users may now share their views with followers they follow back or anyone on their list of Close Friends by using the Notes function. Users have the option of sharing anything they wish via text (up to 60 characters) and emojis. Users need to go to their inbox, choose any of their followers or close friends, then share it in order to use the Instagram Notes feature. Responses from viewers will show up in DMs.

According to a post by Meta, users can leave Notes by heading to the top of their inbox and writing a quick, succinct note (up to 60 characters) that will show up in the inboxes of their followers for 24 hours.
Instagram Candid Stories
‘Candid Stories’ is a different feature that is intriguing. This feature will prompt users to take a picture of what they are doing right now while it is still under testing. Only those who additionally share their own Candid Stories will be able to see the candid photos. Users can disable this feature under Settings if they don’t like it. Candid Stories will soon be released on Facebook, according to Meta.
