John Wick Chapter 4 trailer sets up a battle between Keanu Reeves and Bill Skarsgard: Only one can survive
On Thursday, Lionsgate unveiled the first action-packed trailer for John Wick: Chapter 4, which teases a battle between Keanu Reeves’ hitman and Bill Skarsgård’s antagonist Marquis de Garmont.
The two-minute thirty seconds preview – set to Westlife’s 1999 song Seasons in the Sun – begins with John and Caine (Donnie Yen) seated inside a candle-lit church.
Wick tells Caine he was ‘saying hello’ to his late wife Helen, who died from a terminal illness before the first film in 2014.
The camera cuts to Marquis saying from his palatial mansion: ‘A new day is dawning. New ideas, new rules, new management.’
Wick’s colleague Winston (Ian McShane), the manager of the Continental Hotel, tells him to ‘challenge [Marquis] to single combat. Win or lose. It’s a way out…Just have fun out there.’
The beloved assassin then reunites with the Bowery King (Laurence Fishburne), who hands him a gun and a suit and says: ‘A man has to look his best when it’s time to get married or buried.’

Later, John is in Paris meeting face to face with Marquis of The High Table, a council of 12 crime lords that govern the underworld’s most powerful criminal organizations.
‘If you win, the table will honor its word. You will have your freedom,’ Marquis vows.
The Marquis’ associate (Clancy Brown) later instructs: ‘Under the old laws, only one can survive. Failure to meet at sunrise will result in execution.’
But before their duel, Wick will have to face off against a series of henchmen and ‘his most lethal adversaries yet.’
