Jungkook of BTS reveals his new World Cup song, “Dreamers,” and performs it during the opening ceremony in Qatar.

The K-pop icon will appear on the FIFA 2022 soundtrack, and a new music video is forthcoming.

The upbeat song, which Jungkook sings on, is his third solo release of the year after “Left & Right” and “Stay Alive,” all of which were produced by his bandmate Suga (his Hot 100 summer hit with Charlie Puth). Fahad Al Kubaisi, a singer and producer from Qatar, is also featured in the song. The 41-year-old also released two singles earlier this year. Both Arab-pop songs have amassed millions of YouTube streams: “Yousfi Al Halla” has over three million views, and “Aghnni” has over 9.5 million.

RedOne, a pop-dance producer who worked on songs for celebrities like Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga, and Enrique Iglesias, contributed to “Dreamers.” RedOne joined FIFA in late 2021 as a Creative Entertainment Executive.

At the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 opening ceremony, Jungkook will sing the new song. The performer teased the performance in a video that was released after the song’s release.

“Dreamers” is a tune on the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 soundtrack, which also features Nicki Minaj, Maluma, Davido, Myriam Fares, and other musicians. On November 23, the “Dreamers” music video will be made available.

After the opening ceremony and “Dreamers” performance, Qatar will play Ecuador in the World Cup host nation’s inaugural match. There are 32 teams taking part in the World Cup, and on December 18 a winner will be announced.
